Why are we changing the way we re-set EPSON cartridges?

This chip re-setter will reset all of the EPSON cartridges we currently support.  This re-setter also does a better more reliable job of re-setting than the R1, and R2 re-setters. Software version 3.56 or higher must be on the machine before proceeding.

There is more to this setup than the small re-setters you have used.  Cable length will restrict the unit setup to the right side of the machine.

We understand that many locations need to be creative with placement.
When the unit is setup your R3 and re-setter bed might look something like one of these pictures with the cables plugged in.

Your Re-setter Kit Includes:

  • R3 Re-setter
  • Re-set Bed
  • Ribbon Cable
  • Power Adapter
  • USB Hub
  • USB Cable

To put the R3 together correctly the steps must be followed precisely and in order:

1. On the back of the re-setter bed, plug in the ribbon cable as shown here.

2. Plug the other end of the ribbon cable into the front of the Re-setter unit.

3.  Plug the small end of the USB cable into the R-3 Re-setter.  Make sure the USB icon is up.

4.  Plug the electrical adapter into an available electrical outlet and turn on the switch on the back of the unit.

5.  Plug the USB hub into the USB outlet under the touch screen and plug in both the Canon Re-setter and the new R-3 USB cable.

6.  The large end of the USB cable must plug into the USB hub.

7.  Place all of the components of the setup where you would like to have them for convenience.   The re-setter bed must be easily accessible so you can place cartridges on it for reset.  The screen on the re-setter must be somewhere visible so you can see if the reset was a success. Turn the re-setter switch on and watch for the screen to come on. (the switch is on the back of the unit.)

8. Go to the MAINTENANCE tab of the touchscreen and select the “Machine Reboot” button.  When the interface reboots the re-setter will be online.  NOTE: if the re-setter USB cable becomes unplugged for any reason you will need to re-boot again to establish a connection.

9. The R-3 re-setter will now be online
